Hello Year 2, 

                       How have you all been? It feels like forever since we last saw you. We miss you so much. Hope you and your families are well. We can't wait to see how much you have grown. I bet you are taller than some of us. Hopefully you are all sgtill smiling and being the beautiful chidlren you are inside and out.

Work packs are now available from the school office. These will be available every 2 weeks. Online learning is still accessible, along with Purple Mash and Times Tables Rock.

PE

Try and do some physical activity each day, a great way to start your day is with the Joe Wicks workout or you may prefer some yoga. Follow the links below.

It is important that you keep up with daily spelling work - these websites will help you.

I have also posted the spellings for the rest of the year over on the Year 2 page on the website. Children in Miss Gannon’s group, there will be a tab for you also, sharing all the words you need to be practising. There will be tips and games for you to use to support you.

Afternoon

Monday – Come and See (RE)

Read the Church’s Story document attached.

Discuss the following questions:

  1. What is good to do at the end of the day and why?
  2. How do you think someone feels who has received the Sacrament of Reconciliation?
  3. What does this priest tell you in this Sacrament?
  4. What kind of things do you think you would ask someone to do to make thing right, if you were a priest?
  5. How can you show you are really sorry?

Task: Write down something you have had to say sorry for. How did you feel before you said sorry? Then how did you feel after you had said sorry? Was it different and were you glad you decided to apologise?

Thursday – D and T

Look at the D and T challenge sheet attached. Choose your preferred challenge and off you go. Don’t forget to tweet us with your creations.  

Friday – Humanities

Go on a nature walk around your local area. Write down all the tings you saw whilst you were out. Take plenty of pictures and enjoy the time out in the open air.
