DT - Year 2 Spring term design and make a hand puppet

Class: Year 2 Year: 2025 - 2026

Year 2 have been finding out about puppets and what they are made from so that they could design and make their own hand puppet.  To do this the children looked at the material they could use and they thought about what they liked and disliked about marionettes, shadow puppets, hand and rod puppets.  The children then also designed their own hand puppet to make.  The children also practised two types of stitches: over stitch and running stitch.
