Rainbows
Rainbows Bereavement Support is a well-respected national charity. It has a proven, positive and direct impact on the lives of children and young people. This programme supports our children's emotional well being and has so far supported numerous children across Foundation stage, Key stage 1 and Key stage 2.
Our support staff Miss Gardner, Miss Shaw, Mrs Brown and Mrs Bowen are running these sessions and are familiar faces to the children.
If you think this programme could support your child(ren) please contact Mrs Slater.
Last year each class in Holy Cross took part in a dance-a-thon to raise funds for Rainbows. The total amount raised was an amazing £938.46!! Thank you to everyone who sponsored the children, the funds go to a great cause.
Some of the funds raised were used to improve the Rainbows area, please take a look at the images below. This area is also open every lunchtime for children who would like to drop in for wellbeing sessions. Children can take part in a range of activities including:
- Meditation
- Mindfulness colouring
- Talking to an adult about their worries
- Time to relax, read the books and enjoy the calming music and lights.
Posters are displayed around school and more details can be found in the link.
